Methodology and sources

KOSPI PBR

We store KRX's daily KOSPI PBR on each month's last trading day, without shifting it to calendar month-end or interpolating values.

Korean Buffett indicator

Month-end KOSPI and KOSDAQ market cap is divided by trailing four-quarter nominal GDP. This retrospective alignment does not reflect release dates. The annual comparison from 1984 divides KOSPI-only annual market cap by annual nominal GDP and has a different definition.

Derived indicators

Earnings yield is 100/PER. CPI and M2 growth compare observations exactly 12 months apart. Monthly, quarterly and annual data use period-end dates without interpolation.

US policy rate target range

The upper and lower federal funds target bounds are shown on effective change dates from December 16, 2008, and remain until the next change. Earlier single target rates are excluded.

US 10-year Treasury monthly average

Monthly business-day averages of the Federal Reserve H.15 nominal 10-year constant maturity yield, shown at month-end for completed months. This is not the yield of a single bond.
