Privacy policy

Effective: August 26, 2026

Activeholders (the “service”) values your personal information and complies with applicable laws, including Korea’s Personal Information Protection Act. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we use it, and how we store and delete it.

1. Personal information we collect

a. Signing in with a Kakao account

You can sign in only through a linked Kakao account, without a separate registration process. When you sign in, we receive and store the following information from Kakao.

Information collected Type Purpose of collection
Kakao user ID Required Account identification.
Email Required User identification. Not displayed in the service.
Nickname (profile name), profile image, gender and birth year Required Community participation, such as displaying authors.

b. Information collected automatically during use

The following information may be collected automatically to analyze service usage.

  • IP address, cookies, access time, browser and device information, and service usage records

We use Google Analytics (GA4) and Naver Analytics for statistical analysis. These tools collect and analyze the information above using cookies.

c. When submitting a report

When you report a data error or similar issue and would like a reply, you may voluntarily provide the following information.

  • Email (optional) and report content

2. How we use personal information

Information collected Type Purpose of use
Kakao user ID and email Required Member identification and account management. Email addresses are not displayed in the service.
Nickname, profile image, gender and birth year Required Used for community participation, including displaying authors.
Automatically collected information Automatic Usage analysis, service improvements and prevention of misuse.
Email and content supplied in a report Optional Handling reports and sending replies.

3. Retention and deletion

When you delete your account, the service promptly deletes your account, Kakao connection, profile, watchlist and notes, your community posts and all comments on those posts, and any comments you left on other people’s posts that have no replies.

For comments that still have replies from others, we immediately delete the comment text and its link to the author, retaining only an anonymous deleted comment marker to preserve the conversation. The marker is also removed once all remaining replies have been deleted.

However, user IDs, email addresses and content of reports submitted before account deletion, email suppression records, and existing service logs are retained separately from your account to preserve report history, prevent unwanted emails, and support service operations and security. Reports are not automatically linked to a newly registered account. These records are irreversibly deleted once their retention purpose ends.

4. Sharing with third parties and outsourcing

As a rule, we do not disclose your personal information to outside parties. To operate the service, we outsource statistical analysis as follows.

  • Google LLC (Google Analytics) — Service usage analytics.
  • NAVER Corporation (Naver Analytics) — Service usage analytics.

5. Cookies and how to refuse them

We use cookies to keep you signed in and analyze usage. You can refuse cookies in your browser settings, although this may limit features such as staying signed in.

6. Your rights

You may request access to, correction or deletion of, or suspension of processing of your personal information at any time. Account deletion removes account information except the separately retained records described in section 3. For other requests, including those concerning separately retained records, contact us below and we will respond without delay.
